Peta JACOBS

Peta Jacobs is currently undertaking a practice-based PhD at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, United Kingdom. Her research has led her to investigate the paradox of immaterial substance explained by both quantum physics and eastern mystical experience. Peta Jacobs is inspired by the theories of physicist, David Bohm. Peta questions certainty and perception by presenting shifting views relative to viewpoint. Her work is mixed media and she incorporates materials commonly found in science laboratories, including diffraction grating, prisms and half-silvered mirror Awards and Residencies - Winner of the 31st Takifuji International Art Award, Tokyo, Japan in 2010 - Artist in Residence, UCA, Farnham, England, 2012-2014.
